Male Voice Choir

Founded 1935

The choir was founded in 1935 by a group of Welshmen who had moved to Welwyn Garden City in search for work.

Welwyn Garden City Male Voice Choir enjoy singing music from a variety of genres and performing at local concerts and events. As a choir we are proud of our traditions and origins while we embrace an eclectic range of music.

Our current repertoire includes songs from shows, spirituals, traditional English, Scottish and Irish pieces. We sing a number of songs in Welsh, maintaining a proud tradition harking back to the Choir's early days. We also include one or two numbers which may surprise!

We rehearse every Thursday at 7:30pm at the Ludwick Way Methodist Church. We're always looking for new members so if you're interested, please come along!

We also often sing informally in The Waggoners (Brickwall Close, Ayot Green, Welwyn) after rehearsal at around 9:45pm if you'd like to join us.
